ITINERARY

So you have a few facts under your belt! Jamaica is the third largest island in the Caribbean, and it's got the the second largest economy (after Trinidad & Tobago). Its national bird is the 'Doctor Bird' - a species of hummingbird with a long ass tail - graphic below! When it comes to food, the national dish is "ackee" and salt fish. Ackee is a type of fruit that's the same family as lychee (there's a photo of it below). The other things to try are fried festival bread, Blue Mountain Coffee and of course Jerk Chicken!

The currency is the Jamaican Dollar (JMD), roughly GBP £1 = JMD $195, but you can use USD $ in touristy areas. I reckon have at least USD $400 on you as a back up and then make sure you take out some JMD $ at an ATM at the airport.
